Drawn on the Golden Peg 28, Gary Thorpe (Ton up Baits) returned a winning weight of 14-08-0 on what turned out to be a rock hard day.  Trevor Price (Ton up Baits) took runners up spot with respectable 10-08-0 from peg 30. A combination of Snow Water, Frost and Driving Rain all reduced the water temperature to only 39 Deg. On a normal winters day (what is normal nowadays?) the 'silvers' should have returned weights of 30lb plus. Rolf was disappointed with this combination of weather conditions, but allowed the match to go ahead having previously cancelled the Saturday match following very heavy snow falls.
