The news from the Sunday match was Peg 14 didn't win but came in second !! Drawn 2 pegs away on Peg 16, T Preace (Hounslow Gold) fished long pole and sweetcorn over pellet for 66-00-0 of Carp. Chris Davis (Prestwood & District) contested the lead well along with R Brewer who was drawn on fancied peg 24. Chris returned 61-12-0 from Peg 14 and fell just 1 good fish short of winning, as did R Brewer who finished stongly on 61-04-0, both anglers employed the same tac-tics as the winner. Overall, the lake fished much better with carp feeding in most pegs. A prolonged mild spell should lift the water temprature a little higher and 100lb plus bags are sure to follow. The water temprature was a steady 42 Deg this weekend and water table remains 2ft up on summer levels. With a good week forecast, I would book your tickets early for next weekend to avoid dissapointment!
