| REVIEW | |||
| Heavy downpours on the preceding days had resulted in the lake water level up by a good 4 inches of cold water. Coupled with heavy winds, the conditions were far from perfect. However, the anglers at the Rolfs Saturday match got on with it in their normal way. On Peg 15 D Hawkins fished mostly on the deck with cat food for a commanding 137-08-0 win. D Hawkins enjoyed good sport for long periods of the match and kept S Roback (Maidenhead Baits) drawn on Peg 8 at a comfortable distance. However, with the Carp starting to run at an average around 5-6lb and individual fish up to 28lb, a 20lb cushion is not a great deal. S Roback fished to the ledge on Peg 8 and took fish mostly on Soft Pellet for a creditable 118-00-0. In contrast to recent matches, more fish were taken on the deck with bigger baits (Meat) scoring well. “Book Early for the Next Weekend - Few Pegs remaining” |
