Thorpe (Ton Up Baits) With the wind pushing
into his face on peg 15, the TUB backed Gary Thorpe returned a winning
weight from the one Peg he claimed he didn't want at the draw. Gary
fished , as usual, at 16m and fed a customary 2 pots of pellet at
the start. It was sweetcorn and pellet on the hook that produced
the bites for yet another win, but disappointingly Gary finished
2lb short of the TON.
Dave
Wightman (Simons 2000) & Matt Nutt (Prestwood
& District) - Following an almost fishless 2
hours Dave Wightman (SImons 2000) managed to get
a few fish feeding in from unlucky Peg 13. With 71lb 12oz he finished
just a handful of fish behind Gary, however, he could not be separated
on weight with Matt Nutt (Prestwood and District)
who had a very similar match to Dave. Unlucky peg 13 has now come
runner-up in the last 3 matches.
Elsewhere.
Lots of fish moving but bites a little slow. Rolf fished Peg 32
during the match and 'Humped' a good few hand full's of feed into
the Peg. The result was bite first chuck, a fish on the second and
plenty of fish after that, all a result of constant feeding. His
baggin' was stopped short with a broken landing net!!! He concluded
no one else had followed his heavy handed feeding approach because
it was winter!
