With a cold easterly wind still blowing, Rolf is confident that weights will improve and more fish will feed as soon as we can avoid the frosts and bighting winds. Having said that, sunshine in the last few days had improved water temperatures to 43Deg F and the carp feed well in most pegs!! Bernie Fraser (Ton up Baits) drawn on Peg 14 'Knew how to get 'um out' said Rolf as he returned a years best 213-08-0 of fin perfect pellet caught Carp. Bernie fell just 30lb short of making the all time TOP TEN but still had enough energy left to smile for a quick pic. Geoff Ringer (Ringer Baits) also employed similar tactics to Bernie, fishing long pole with pellet. Geoff's catch rate couldn't quite keep up with Bernie and eventually returned a net busting 161-00-0. M Simpson (Oxford Purple) and C Storey (Ton up Baits) also enjoyed Ton-Up bags with 145-00-0 and 134-04-0 respectively. Over one quarter of the field returned 50lb plus bags. Catches will improve as the days get warmer!! Book early to avoid disappointment.
