Peter
Coxhead (Windsor Angling) added his name to the Rolfslake
Hall of fame with an arm aching 329lb from Peg 34. Once again
a large number of Carp had gathered into the corner peg. Peter fished
tight to the bank but suffered with a large number of foul hooked
fish. He estimated loosing approximately 200lb from the hook! Had
he landed just half of the lost fish he would have set a new British
Record. Peter fished pellet hook baits for most of his fish over
loose offerings of 4mm Ton Up Pellets.
Bernie
Fraser (Ton Up Baits) took a fine double ton from peg 13.
Bernie again fished tight to the bank on his right (closest to peg
12) in just 8 inches of water. The Carp came one after the other
in a good afternoons sport for the local angler.
Elsewhere
- Andy Johnstone (Trabucco) returned yet another Ton from the lake
but found himself in a lowly 12th place from Peg 38. Although the
Carp are still spawning for the second time, more fish seem to have
turned back on to the feed.
Rolf
remains confident that the lake will soon return the Worlds first
500lb 5hr match weight - and who would argue any different?
