| REVIEW | |||
| Despite the water temperature dropping to 56 Deg F the Saturday match fished well. 50lb was required to make the top 10. In total, 2 'Ton Up' anglers made a Ton and Gary Thorpe drawn on Peg 34 putting just under 250lb to the scales. Gary fished about 3ft from the bank with Ton Up Pellets as bait to take fish to 24lb in his 248-08 return. Gary plumbed around for the drop off then fished tight against it. Drawn in full view of Gary was Bernie Fraser on Peg 8. Bernie fished tight against the far back and back towards the buoys that protect the lilly pads around 34 for his close to 140lb weight. Gary's weight was the 6th best ever taken in an open match, consequently he now holds 6 of the top 10! Peg 34 holds 3 of the top 10 and is proving to be 'The' peg for a big weight.
