| REVIEW | |||
Strong Winds Dominate Pete Wedgebrow (Slapheads) was won of the lucky anglers to be slightly sheltered from the 50mph winds that battered Rolfslake for the Sunday Match. Pete was drawn on 28 and took full advantage of being able to present a decent bait up in the water. Taking fish consistently for an impressive 126-00-0 and a commanding match win. M Woodley (Mash Tackle) also found some protection from the strong South wind to take a 'Ton' from Peg 25 and runners-up coin. Such was the wind, anglers in the shallow half of the lake (34-40 & 1 - 8) struggled to fish much longer than 6m with any finesse. Yesterdays' 250lb return from Gary Thorpe on 34 was not to be repeated as Trabucco backed Andy Johnstone struggled to hold his pole and failed to make the top ten with 40lb +. Gary Thorpe was drawn on Peg 37 and likewise found himself unable to turn the activity in his peg into a framing weight. However, Gary did manage a 60lb + return. Once again, over 50lb was required to make the frame. Book Early for the Next Weekend - Few Pegs remaining” |
