REVIEW |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Two things remained constant with the weather - the overnight frost and the Easterly wind! However, daytime temperatures for the Sunday pushed close to 16 Deg C and water temperature was a healthy 46 Deg F. The morning frost was also not a heavy as Friday's, so you would have expected the lakes to fish better than the Saturday! Drawn o Peg 34, T Kent (Fox Barnstead) fished tight against the bank in 12" of water to take a match winning 111-00-0 of corn caught fish. Runner up, D Wightman (Simons 2000,) also fished 12" deep but the Simons backed angler fished straight out at 15m on Peg 25 for another Ton-Up bag of 102-00-0 of Pellet tempted Carp. The lake seems to be producing 50lb-80lb+ weights to most of the noted pegs. With weather on the up it will not be long before the next 200lb+ Bag. Trabucco backed angler Rob Field has promised to drive from London to Bristol and back to Oxford to take me to next Saturday's Match. It will be my first match in close to a year following an onset of a long term illness - I'm hoping for a kind draw and even kinder weather!! That's if I can get Rob out of the Pub Friday night!! Thanks mate! Sorry for late results today - I was taken suddenly Pissed this afternoon at a BBQ!! “Book Early for Next Weekend - Most places already taken”
