| JOHN LEES WALKS IT FROM PEG 4! Fishing from last weekend's winning peg, Oxford Match Group backed angler John Lees fished 6m out with a floating bait and alternated this with fishing a more traditional line tight against the bank for a match winning 230-12-0. However, the supporting weights quickly dropped away a the Carp seemed more interested in eating the spawn front he bank side grasses. Runner-up, Gary Thorpe found himself in second place with his 92-00-0 all paste return after 3rd place angler (& Gary's Boss) J Hasler (Tring) had a little accident with one of his keep nets which resulted in nearly all of the Carp escaping prior to the weigh-in. What should have been a big Ton Plus weight turned out to be a disappointing 87-00-0. Elsewhere the lake fished hard. Most anglers struggled for bites as the Carp continue to top up on fresh spawn rather than pellets.
