Steve Perham (Wales & Trabucco)

Topped the field at Rolfslake on Sunday. Although not a regular this winter at Rolfslake, Steve proved his class with a 21lb return of prime Roach from Peg 22. In one of the closest finishes to a Rolfs match for a long time, the top 3 could only be split by a few Roach each. Again Mick Wilkinson found himself the bridesmaid and Paul Abbott took the 3rd place for the 2nd week running. Although, the lake continues to produce great bags of Silver Fish, by popular demand the Carp matches will take over next weekend again. Check with Rolf for details.

Mick Wilkinson (Sensas) Drawn on Peg 23, next to Steve, was Mick Wilkinson. With the Roach feeding well a cracking match was had by most anglers fishing, as such, Mick eventually pushed Steve all the way to final whistle and just 4oz separated the pair at the all out. Unfortunately, Mick was runner up last weekend from Peg 25 but with an average of over 20lb of Roach in two matches the Sensas backed angler was more than happy.

Elsewhere

Again double figure bags of Roach abundant. ! Plenty of Carp moving - Steve landed about 11 quality Carp with his Roach.
