Once
again the wind dominated the Sunday Open at Rolfslake Oxfordshire.
However, on a plus was a dramatic increase in air and water
temperatures this week that improved the amount of silver
fish on the feed.
Drawn
on Hotspot peg 24 was TUB's Trevor Price. Trevor recorded
one of the best weights this year and considering the conditions
the Ton Up Bait angler could be well pleased with his 163lb
return. Fishing as long as the wind would allow, Trevor fished
pellet over pellet for his fish, loose feeding heavy was the
key as he kept the fish from team mate Gary Thorpe on next
Peg. With sweetcorn now banished to the banned list until
next winter it is the time for Paste and Pellet to take over
as the results this weekend have proven.

Summer
Drawn
in the 'little lake' in corner Peg 4 was Lol Sumer. Peg 4
is noted for producing the odd big weight and today was no
exception to that rule with Lol producing the goods to the
sound of 111lb. On his first visit to the lake he produced
both a good peg from the draw bag and a 24lb 8oz Mirror in
his Ton Plus return. Lol took most of his fish on Pellet next
to the bank.

Elsewhere
Plenty
of Fish feeding. Increase in water temperature will bring
Carp on feed. If weather stays warm (ish) and wind drops we
can expect weights to soar into April.
