Match winner in the Sunday Open at Rolfslake was Gary Thorpe (Ton Up Baits). Gary blew away the opposition from Peg 16 with an awesome display of winter Carp fishing. With a bulk of his weight coming from fish in double figures taking sweetcorn over pellet in at 16m in bitter cold conciliations. Phil Wintle (Milton Keynes) put up a brave fight from peg 24 and eventually returned a little over the magical TON for second spot, however, it was the amount of 'weighers' that Gary put to the scales that separated him from the chasing pack.

Elsewhere. Plenty of fish moving but not too many getting their heads down. Silver fish started to feed as the day progressed with 3 anglers breaking a stone of plump Roach each. Top Silver fish weight went to Robin Flowers with 18lb.
