Bob
Johnson (Rolfslake)
With
the top 3 weights coming from the motorway bank yesterday
it was a mild surprise for Peg 26 and 25 to rise to the top
in the Rolfslake Sunday Open.
Bob
Johnson took a narrow victory in a next peg battle with Trevor
Price with a cracking 122lb 4oz to Trevor's 120lb 8oz - once
again just the difference of one fatter fish! In a match that
was tight all the way down the boards things are looking good
for the forthcoming Easter Festival.
Bob
fished at 16m with pellet on the deck for the bulk of his
catch but had to hold off late pressure from Trevor
Trevor
Price (TUB)
Trevor
finnish the match on fire after a slow first 2 hours. His
positive feeding approach was the key for Trevor and for the
2nd week running he clawed his way into the frame buy getting
the feeding right. For the record Trevor also fished at 16m
and took the bulk of his fish on the deck with pellet hook
baits.
Motorway
Bank (Rolfslake)
Making
up the next 6 places in the frame was the Motorway Bank! With
15, 13,14, 16, 17,19 in that order with an average of 75lb
per Peg. Now that's match fishing.
Silver
Fish.
Tony
West topped the Silver Fish frame with the added bonus of
a PB 6lb 40z Chub to boost his weight to 23lb 8oz.

Elsewhere
Plenty
of fish about. Expect things to get better and better as the
weather settles slowly into spring. Paste worth a look on
most pegs as is trying to catch up in the water as bites get
'iffy' on the deck.
Fantastic
Silver Fishing to be had in almost every peg. However, with
the Carp picking up - its getting harder to go for the Roach
from the off.
