In the Saturday Open at Rolfslake this weekend it was Peg 19 that produced the goods for Russell Alexander (Rolfslake.) Russell fished on top of the bar; which has now produced 3 match wins in 3 weeks. The bar, which was formed last winter by a JCB, is only 4m out and looks set to become a popular mark on the Oxfordshire Match Venue.
Russell fished lumps of paste over plenty of loose fed 4mm Ton Up Pellets in about 4ft of water. Russell likes to soak his pellet the night before and given the results Russell has taken over the years the Carp don't seem to mind the extra preparation given by the venue regular.
Elsewhere the lake fished hard, the weights looked more like a mid January match at best. However, with the weather starting to steady better weights are expected as the bank holiday continues.

Thanks Dad. Ross is soon into some good fish.

Did
you fish this match and I've missed out (or messed up!) some of the details?
