Unfortunately, Rolf cut of the head of John Bennett holding this fantastic 22lb Mirror...
Not to worry John, Rolf said put on the same clothes next week and well take a picture in the same spot and I'll stick it back on for you...... Sorted!!!!
Colin Storey
(Ton Up Baits)
321lb Peg 5
Peg 5 had dominated a Club match on Friday with a big 300lb plus weight, so when TUB Backed Colin Storey drew the peg in the Saturday Open he knew he was in with a chance of a very big wieght. The Carp did not disappoint.
Fishing next to the bankside grass, not the 'norm' for the peg - but in keeping with yesterdays win, Colin presented sweetcorn over scoops of pellet to keep the fish interested and return a belting 321b to top the honours in warming temperatures.
Elsewhere
Just to Colins left sad John Owen who enjoyed a hectic 5hrs trying to keep up with Colin's catch rate. At one stage John looked to be a likely winner but his 256lb 8oz fell a few fish short in the final tally. John, like most, took a few fish at 6-7m on paste but a switch to the inside margin later in the match resulted in the bulk of his net busting return. The key to his big weight was loose fed 4mm pellet and plenty of them.
Lake again fishing well as summer temperatures returned for the weekend.
John Owen - 218lb on his first visit to Rolfslake!
A picture from yesterdays match - I didn't even notice my mate and Welsh International Andy Johnstone on his way to 152lb 8oz by landing fish stood on his box.. Fantastic!

Ton Up Baits
Colin addes to the 300lb plus weights recorded using 4mm Ton Up Baits Pellet feed. Peg 5 produced 2 in 2 days this weekend and Colin also added to his own fine tally of massive weights.
John Owen
Grapes
John has fished the lake twice now. He has recorded 200lb plus weights on both visits.... I'll guess he'll be back a few more times?
Peter Thompson
?
Despite his best efforts to put off the female Carp, Peter Thompson had a good day and plenty of elastic stretching sport.
Did
you fish this match and I've missed out (or messed up!) some of the details?
