Saturday 4th June 2005 - Excelsor

Maz Crosson
(Excelsior)
Peg 32 - 129lb

"Slow start again for most as fish fail to feed in first 2 hours "

Lady Luck struck for Maz Crosson when she drew Peg 32 in the Excelsior Club Match at Rolfslake this Sunday. Peg 32 had shown some form in the Saturday Match and Maz made no mistakes in making Peg 32 a double winner this weekend. Maz fished down the edge to take carp to double figures in her winning bag of 129lb.

Paul Chapman
(Preston Innovations)

Paul had his elastics set a little light for Peg 24! he'd paid £5 for a spool of elastic and insisted on using it all! (Sorry Paul couln't resist that one).

Elsewhere, plenty of fish for all club members. Ken Wright was unlucky on Peg 13 with this 104lb 10oz not quite enough to take top spot. Although he did keep out the attentions of John Allen on Peg 28 who returned just short of the Ton with 97lb 4oz. Rolf enjoyed the company of the Excelsior Club on what was a nice way to spend a lazy June Sunday afternoon.

PICTURE REVIEW
Maz Crosson
Excelsior.

Maz gives a big smile as she prepares to land a decent Carp on her way to a historic win. I believe Maz is the first Lady to win a match at Rolfslake? Well done.

Graham Melhuish
Excelsior.

Fishing down the edge will catch you plenty of fish at Rolfslake.

John Allen
Excelsior.

John puts his back into landing a decent Carp as he enjoyed a good day's matchfishing at the Oxfordshire Complex.

Tony Capewell
Excelsior.

When you get fish like this on the feed, it's easy to see why Rolfslake is odds on to smash the UK Match Record this summer.
