Pete Archer (Vespe) took full advantage with lake fishing a little slow from Peg 8 with a few fish that converted to a deserved match win from one of the allocated Golden Pegs. Fishing at 8m, Pete took a number of fish before the line dried up forcing a switch to a longer line tight to the far bank. Pete continued to add to his weight a eventually weighed in a match winning 162lb 8oz.

Pete has been doing well by fishing shallow recently, but had a welcome break at peg 8 today.

Mick Jones took 121lb for runners up spot from peg 19 to keep the in form Gary Thorpe back in 3rd with 107lb 4oz.
