The lake fished to an acceptable standard considering the conditions. Following the most sustained period of Sleet/Snow for a while, there were a few Carp to be had on most pegs. Again, the Silver fish remain elusive as water temperatures struggle to reach 38 Deg.

Although the fancied winner was Mal Talbot on Peg 24 as the winning peg from last 4 matches, and twice for Mal, it was Matt Nutt who was drawn on Peg 26 that put in a fantastic performance to Win the match with 41lb 8oz fishing at 15m. Matt alternated between red maggot and sweetcorn on the hook for a few bites. Next door but one, Mal foul hooked a few fish as bites got harder to draw as the match progressed. Russell Alexander and Mike Stimson drew level for runners up with just 24lb. Again, sweetcorn over potted corn, maggot and pellet was the key to a few fish.
