Rolfs' Diary 2007
May Bank Holiday - Friday

Total-Fishing Special
Total-Fishing enjoyed a good start to the Bank Holiday weekend with a fine days' match fishing at Rolfslake. Colw took the best weight on the day with a double Ton-Up bag from Peg 7 fishing a feeder tight to the far side. The lake continues to be in good form. Carp are feeding between periods of spawning as they kick off the winter blues. However, with Carp enjoying extended basking in the warmer upper layers of the lake, some pegs are proving hard to crack.
BNF takes a small Carp for his efforts.
Kevin Arathoon took the first decent paste weight of the season with a near double ton from Peg 34. Fishing at 6m Kev fished pellet over the top feeding via a pole pot and topping up at times with plenty of pellet via hand. Kev like most of those with Ton plus weights took fish well into mid doubles. Ian Toplis enjoyed a fine 17lb 4oz Common which represented the fine stamp of fish available for the match anglers at the oxfordshire complex.
Note from Rolf: Bread now has reached it's seasonal summer ban - so that's it for the bread, back to being Sandwich and Toast until the Winter! Time to try the Paste I guess!

COLW
Total-Fishing
Feeder was key for COLW on Peg 7. Fished tight to the far bank, plenty of fish kept the Total-Fishing Matchman busy for most of the day.

Ian Topliss

Ian Takes his time with a fine 17lb 4oz Carp. Ian drew fancied peg 32 but the peg failed to produce the goods.

Nik
Total-Fishing
Nik looks across the lake as he unhooks a fine 15lb+ Common. Like most of the Total Fishing matchmen, Nik enjoyed some good fishing with plenty of fish to mid double figures.
