Today Rolfslake welcomed the anglers from Total Fishing ,in what they hoped would be a continuation of the good form that the lake has been in recently. At the draw today most of the anglers wanted to be on feature pegs 8, 15 ,32, and 34 ,as they had thrown up most of the big weights and the thought of a good days fishing excited the anglers.

John Walker - The in form angler at Rolfslake
After my failure on lake record super peg 8 in the Wednesday open ,today that challenge fell to Phil Stone ,who made a good job fishing at a full 16 mtr's against the far bank fishing pellet feeding pellet catching a few fish ,and then alternating between this and the nearside margins for his weight of 253-08 and a deserved win. In second place and very close to Phil on peg 32 was Neil Powell, who was just one small carp off a match win with his weight of 251-08. Neil fished the margins to his left as currently there are loads of fish between this peg right round to peg 34 tight to the bank, and by feeding constantly this brings the fish away from peg 8. In third place was superstar angler Andy May who fished the trimmed back peg 10. Andy fished up in the water as this method has been responsible for some monster weights recently ,and by feeding constantly Andy put together his weight of 229-00 and the third 200lb weight of the day.
The weights were up on last Wednesdays match ,with the weather warm for this time of year .The lake is fishing well all round but be patient as sometimes the fish take time to arrive ,but remember to feed and not to forget the margins as the bigger fish come late in the match.
Book Early for Wednesday Opens to avoid disappointment.
