With more new anglers arriving at the lake each week, the Wednesday matches are now more of a challenge for the regular crew as it was to prove today.
With the publicity the lake has been receiving since the lake record was broken a couple of weeks ago with 530-00 ,and with the massive demand for the Yorkshire Bait Company's Kopy Kat chunks, Garlic and Prawn Delight hooker pellets {still causing some of the local anglers problems in locating the pellet} more and more anglers are visiting the lake to try and put together another monster weight.
In first place today was R.S Baits sponsored angler Gary Knight ,who was fishing peg 4 in the small lake .Gary's plan of attack today was to fish two lines, under the bush to his right fishing the top four of his pole, and a line straight out in front at a range of 8mtrs on top of the bar.
Feeding pellet and fishing pellet hookbait's Gary kept the fish coming from both lines for most of the five hours for a weight of 284-08 and a deserved win.

Peg 4. The Jungle!
In second place was Robin Guppy also a R.S Baits sponsored angler, who was fishing in form peg 8 and using a combination of fishing across to the far bank {a good 16 mtr's +} and the inside line fishing pellet and feeding pellet, which kept him busy for the five hours with 235-00. Completing the frame was in form angler John Walker who was today fishing the big lake and newly re-built peg 16.
After struggling for the first 3 hours John decided to concentrate on one line ,which was in the bush to his left at a range of 4 mtr's ,and using Kopy Kat chunks and Prawn Delight 9mm pellets ,which brought a quick response from the big carp that live there. At the end of five hours John had managed to put together 218-00 for another frame weight.
The small lake is currently fishing better than the big lake, as with the mild weather continuing the fish seem happier to be in the shallower water. No particular method is proving dominant at the moment, as you can catch on paste on the deck, pellet/meat up in the water, corn in the margins, big pellet at 6-9 mtr's, so be well prepared.
Rolf continues to be very poorly and has not been able to get down to the lake, so the guys would like to send their best wishes and hope to see him soon.
