Rolfs' Diary 2007
Sunday Open For a change it wasn't Peg 24 that one the match today! After a string of dominant wins from the peg - you can only feel sorry for the anglers sat on or around the hotspot today that had to watch the fish milling around in the unseasonably hot weather with feeding the last thing on the fishes minds!
Match Winner - Stuart Morgan (VDE) The extra hot weather sparked the fish into thinking about spawning - consequently bites where hard to come by and the big double and treble tons of last weekend were not repeated. Stuart Morgan (VDE) took a total of 60lb 12oz from peg 32 for the match win, with Mick Lane & Phil Powell the only other anglers to record a weight worth of mention - although good enough for a little coin too! The waggler was key for the Mick and Phil with Corn and Maggot baits proving too tempting for the few fish taken. |
