Results Service Restored! We back and we're catching up following our summer holidays:
With the weather due to be strong winds and rain , you would of been forgiven if you fancied being at home making some rigs with a nice cup of tea. As the hard core anglers gathered at the draw , you needed to be on the car park bank as this gave you a little shelter ,and after the draw took place you could see who had drawn well because they started saying to the other anglers that the wind was not that bad.
The winner today was Spro sponsored angler Nick Dean {who looked really smart in his sponsors clothing} who was fishing peg 2 in the corner of the small lake and in the face of the wind. Nick found it a challenge to fish the pole at any distance further than 8 mtrs as the wind was gusting all day ,so he decided to fish at this distance fishing on the deck and using corn and pellet hook baits and cupping in his feed pellets.

Took John B an Age to Carve that! Rolf would love it.
Late in the match Nick found a run of bigger carp to 14-00 which boosted his weight to one fish short of a double ton at a very good 193-06 and a deserved win. In second place and enjoying a good run of draws was lake owner John Bennett who again was enjoying the pleasures of fishing peg 32 by the hut, and who fished both to the edge of the bush to his left and over the back of it towards peg 33. John fished on the deck using corn and pellet feeding quite heavy and caught fish to 19-00 in his final weight of 161-04. Completing the frame was Roy Davis who was on peg 8 and had to fish down the middle as the wind was too strong to fish right across ,again using corn and meat fished on the deck but this time catching smaller fish than the rest in his final weight of 145-04.
