I would like to first apologise for the late posting of the results as due to work commitments and not getting down to the lake as frequent as I would like, have resulted in the results backing up. But with webmaster Lloyd R' and myself working hard on this we should be up to date within a couple of weeks. {so if you have framed in the last few weeks don’t worry you name will be up in lights soon}.
Weather overcast and cold. Anglers fishing 13 . A new name in the winner’s circle was John Harrison who today was fishing peg 26 in the main lake on the car park bank. John fished the bushes on both sides of his swim using expanders as hook and feed bait fished on the deck, and was rewarded with fish to double figures in his final weight of 156-00 {well done John]
In second place was a lake regular and SPRO sponsored angler Loyd moss, who was on form peg 32 by the coffee machine and pies {sorry I mean the hut }, and Loyd fished a variety of methods pole, bomb and waggler all around his swim using corn and pellets hook baits for a weight of 123-08.
Completing the frame was John {the winter bandit} Bennett who again drew corner peg 22 in the big lake and as his gear was still there from the last time he drew it - this enabled him to have a very short walk.
For the visitors who visit this website will already know John fished his tried and tested 6 mtrs on the deck rig, fished in conjunction with corn and pellet catching fish to 13-00 in his final weight of 114-00 {and one of 4 ton weights on a cold Octobers day ,not bad I think}.
John Bennett informs me that there will be Saturday Opens from now on so please give John a call if you fancy some winter bagging. Draw 9.30 Fish 10.30 – 3.30.
