With the matches continuing into September there are still a loyal gathering of anglers that still turn out for a good days fishing, and again today Rolfslake did not disappoint.
In first place today was Vespe sponsored angler Pete Archer who was drawn on car park bank 32 by the hut. Pete today fished up in the water at a range of 14 mtrs towards peg 8, fishing at depths ranging between 1 and 4 feet and using corn and pellet hook baits . During the match Pete caught fish to double figures in his great final weight of 327-12 and a fantastic way to spend an afternoon.

In second place was Nick Dean who was continuing his good form at the lake and today was fishing next to Pete on peg 30. This time Nick fished on the deck towards the bush to his left and also a little further out at a range of 10 mtrs , also fishing corn and pellet hook baits feeding pellet and also caught big carp to 14-00 in his weight of 193-12 and one fish off a double ton. Completing the frame was Trevor Stanley in the opposite corner on peg 24 and like Nick fished on the deck long using pellet hook bait feeding quite heavy for his weight of 143-08. As you can see the weights continue to be impressive right through the year, and to have winning weights in the 300’s just show how consistent Rolfslake can be.
John and Pauline Bennett have been working very hard in lake improvements, so please respect the rules that continue to make this place a great environment to spend a day.
Matches will continue throughout the year but please check with John draw times and availability as the nights start to draw in
