With the opportunity to fish Rolfslake at the weekends soon to become as rare as me winning a match{ due to a full series of club booking} ,the anglers were hoping the lake would continue with its current good form. The weather this weekend had turned colder with rain expected, which is not normally a good sign for big weights.
Continuing his current hot form at the lake was John Bennett who put in another quality performance to go with another double ton weight. John today was fishing very little used peg 17 and gave another masterclass of feeder fishing and short range pole fishing. His plan revolved between starting on the feeder fishing corn and meat hookbaits to get a few fish early on,then changing to the short pole after about an hour and a half ,again fishing corn and meat catching fish to double figures in his weight of 252-00, and a deserved win.
In second place was Neil Hutchins who was on in- form peg 16, and who fished the long pole and to the bush to his left fished on the deck using corn and pellet. Neil again caught big fish that live under the bush in his weight of 130-06. Completing the frame was Dave Loseby on peg 10 {a peg that is starting to come back to form} and who fished on the deck using meat and pellet, at a range of 13mtrs catching the 3rd ton of the day with120-09.
