Lightning Does Strike Twice

With the weather today due to be very hot and with very little breeze , you could of got a lovely tan down on the lake instead of spending 5 hours in what turned out to be a very frustrating match for the midweek regulars. Also with 25 anglers on the lake it was also going to be a rush to get first in line for the draw.

Today in what turned out to be a victory for the angler with one of the lowest personal bests at the lake {but still over 200lb } was me Eddie Taylor-Green. Today I finally drew peg 18 in the big lake, and proceeded to fish two areas, the first towards the bush to the left at a range of 7mtrs, and the second a line straight out in front at a range of 4 mtrs. My bait for today was plain and simple, pellet and soft paste fished under a Jon Walker self cocking paste float. I caught fish to 14-08 in my final weight of 198-08 and only my second win at the lake. Who said lightning doesn't strike twice ?

In second place was Trevor Stanley who was fishing peg 26, and who was fishing a short line 7 mtrs, and to the bush to his left ,fishing a combination of pellet /corn and paste and who also caught big fish to 13-00 in his final weight of 164-12 and just clear of 3rd place. Completing the frame was Chris Telling who was enjoying a good run of form at the venue , and who today was fishing flyer peg 32 by the hut. Chris today struggled with foul hooked fish which interrupted his rhythm, but still had a good days fishing the paste {10 mtrs} for his final weight of 162-00.
