Better than Expected.
After the tough summer league match last Sunday which was won by Mick Lane {Rolfs Team Gold} with only 80-00 , and the lowest match winning weight this year, the anglers were expecting a tough 5 hours fishing but in the end were pleasantly surprised. The lake has had the water pumps on for most of the week to try and cool the water and increase the oxygen which has been a great help.

Trevor Stanley - Added a 2nd to last weeks 1st
Today in first place was Rolfslake owner John Bennett who came back to form after his lack of fish in the last two weeks . Today John had drawn brilliant margin peg 26 in the big lake, and just fished two lines , one about 6 mtrs straight out in front ,and the other towards the bush to his left at a range of 4 mtrs. John used his favourite bait for this time of year paste, and fed about 4 bags to keep the fish interested which resulted in the usual big fish appearance to 14-00 in his on the board weight of 90-00. After 4 hours John had run low on feed pellets and this slowed him down somewhat in his final weight of 184-12 and a deserved win.
The runner up today was Trevor Stanley, who has now come 1st 2nd and 2nd in his last 3 matches, and who was today fishing peg 32 by the hut. Trevor fished the small bush to his left and over the back of the bush towards peg 33 and was rewarded with a constant stream of fish by fishing paste and feeding pellets in his weight of 174-08 and only one fish off a match win.
In third place and continuing his good run of form at the lake was Mick Lane , who was fishing next to John on peg 28 on the car park bank. Mick also fished short 3mtrs towards the bush to his right just on the first ledge and fished a combination of corn and pellet fished on the deck and feeding very heavy for his weight of 169-04
All anglers remember to book your places for the Wednesday matches with John as they are very popular at the moment ,and the best fishing time of the year is still to come.
