Easter Festival Day 2 [Easter Sunday]

Day 2 of the Easter festival and the anglers were very hopeful of another good days fishing as day 1 produced very good weights.

The anglers in A section were not looking forward to their five hours fishing as it fished very hard yesterday and they wanted one of the feature pegs 34, 7 or 8 as it gave them at least half a chance.

One of the first anglers to draw in this section was current champion Matt Smith and he was delighted to draw peg 7 which gave him a good chance of getting some big points. The anglers in both B and C section seemed happy as there were lots of fish topping in the big lake so it looked very promising for the 14 anglers. The methods that caught fish today were either on the deck fished long 13 mtrs + or in the margins against a bush if you had one.

The main car park bank seemed to be the busiest with pegs 21 round to 32 keeping the anglers challenged as the difference of one lost fish could mean a loss of 3 points. After five hours the lake fished very well with the winner coming from peg 34 in A section {well done Dave} with 263-00 ,and there were 10 x 100lb weights and 2 x 200lb weights and an amazing 118-00lb average per angler today {well done Rolfslake}. The festival is still very close with at least 9 anglers still in with a chance of victory and with the weather due to be sunny on day 3 anything can still happen.
